My trip to Kentucky

I had a chance to go with my Dad back to Kentucky. It was for a Sullivan family reunion. We were able to drive all over the country and see were he had grown up, gone to school etc.

I was a lot of fun to drive around with my Dad and his sisters and laugh with them about the things they did as kids.

This is the house that my Dad was born in, the house was his Grandmothers at the time, but know it is empty.

This was the "Adsmore" house. It is considered to be a living museum. It was built in 1857 and was then bought in 1900 by the Garrett Family. They only had 1 child and she never married or had children. So when she died at the age of 83 she willed everything to the town library and it was restored and is FULL of the families belongings. It was amazing!!!!

This is me, my Dad, 2 of his sisters and 1 of my cousins. I really consider this to be a trip of a lifetime. I don't know if I will ever get the chance to do this with him again. A huge thanks to my husband and kids for letting me do this and things staying a float at the house.

I think this is so cool Sandy. I'm sure it is a trip you will never forget. Your Dad always looks so happy. Always a big smile on his face.

Wow,small world! Love Kentucky,my mom is from there, and we would go back every summer growing to visit family. Isn't it beautiful? I'm so jealous you got to go! I yearn to go back every summer, but things change when you have a young family, you know? Anyways, John is my uncle. My dad is his brother. And yes, I'm so happy for him too!! He will be in AZ in a few weeks, can't wait to see him!! So, do you not work at the gym anymore?
