1st day of school

Well another 1st day of school has come and gone. We are now in full swing and the schedule is up and running, as good as it can... Shelby is off and running in her sr year at mountainview... She is counting down to turning 18 this fall...

Brady looks like a giant next to the little kids, well he kind of is.. He has grown so much these last 2 years. He is in the 8th grade. Holy cow late year before high school... Karly was a little nervous to be going to school with Chase but she did great.. She has adjusted well to all day school... I like all moms would love a little down time now that all my babies are off to school but my other babies still show up and need some loving so i continue to babysit...

Chases 1st date

Chase had been planning a date with mom all week.. He wanted to go see the movie Smurfs..

He had to have dippin dots on the way out, and since it was a special date I could not say no....

Dinner was at Panda express, then on to the mall for a little shopping. And what really started the date idea to begin with was a stop at Cheesecake Factory for a slice. We sat outside the mall and listened to a band play... It was a very fun night. I really enjoyed my one on one time with him... Cory even told him that if you ask a girl on a date you have to pay... So Chase even had enough money in his wallet to pay for the WHOLE date.. thx dad

The big day

July 23, 2011 was a great day for the Smith Family... We are so blessed to have sweet Chase in our life. He has been counting down to his baptism day for months..

And a special day would not be the same without his best cousin Carter.

I love any chance we have to get a family snap shot. It is still strange to see more big people in the picture than little people. But man are we glad to still have a few little people in our life....

It's GREAT to be "8"

Chase is very excited to have turned 8 and be able to go take pictures in a suit... Our future missionary...

Chaser turns"8"

It sure doesn't seem like it has been 8 years since we were waiting to meet our lil brown baby... But we have so loved his dark eyes and his brown skin...

It was nice having a little break in kids because I think we enjoyed him so much more...

He has always loved baseball but in the last few months he is asking about soccer and football. He is finally coming out of his shell.

We love his shy smile and he has a way of just melting you.. Every teacher he has had (school or church) have all just loved him... We are so grateful for his sweet spirit in our life... And he is so looking forward to his baptism on July 23rd....

Chads new place....

Well Chad as officially moved out. The papers are all signed and he has keys...

Chad was able to get moved into his 1st one bedroom apartment. Thx to anyone who helped up pull together a few basic needs... Mainly Grandma Smith She totally had his whole kitchen set up....

He is loving being on his own. As a mother I like to think at some point he will miss the craziness of our busy house.... but probably not!

Reno with Chad

Chad and I were able to meet my parents and my sister Stacey in Reno Nv for my youngest sister Tashas graduation.. It was really nice to get away with just Chad. This picture was taken on our drive up to Virgina City.

OH the things we will do for our children.... This was the 2nd of two rides... I think i said a few bad words on the 1st ride....

Well it looks like the Sullivan girls were finally caught....

Group picture on the way to Virginia City... What a view...

Proud parents on graduation day. Tasha has worked long and hard and we are very proud of her..

Prom 2011

It was alot of fun to see her get all dressed up. She was dealing with a bad case of whiplash because she wa sinvolved in a car wreck just the day before prom. Shelby was a real trooper she was excited to go have her hair and makeup done.

Shelby was excited to finally be able to have her Aunt Crystal come and take her pictures for a school dance.

Her dress was beautiful and she felt like a princess all night....

This is Shelby and her date Sawyer..

"5 Kids"

Chad will be 20 in September, I'm not really sure where the time as gone. He has been out of high school for a year now. He is working full time for a company called IES and I think he enjoys his job. He has made the decision to move out on his own. He will be moving into his own apartment on Friday... Its kind of bitter sweet. I know he needs to grow up and move on but it is really strange to think about not having one of my kids home at night...I am proud of him for working hard and having goals.

Shelby is happy to say she will be 18 this year(november). She just gets prettier every day and we are very proud of the great young women that she is.. She works hard to keep her standards high. She enjoys dating as much as possible and has a new car she is very proud of. She will be a SR this fall at Mountain view, her favorite classes are sign language and culinary.

Brady is 13 and is almost taller than everyone in the house, and yes I know that is not saying much. He will be in the 8th grade in the fall and is a very social young man. He has found a new love in longboarding. He works a few days a week at water mart and is able to earn himself a little spending money. He is a good young man and enjoys working on scouting things with his Dad. He has already made him claim on Chads old room.

Chase is turning 8 in less than two weeks and is counting down the days. He is very excited to be getting baptized in July. He too as picked up the skateboarding bug. I think he is needing a better skateboard for his birthday. He just finished 1st grade and is looking forward to 2nd grade in the fall... He as the best smile and really loves is momma... He is a good lil helper around the house.

Karly is now 5 holy cow I am not sure where the last few years have gone. She is very excited to be going to school with Chase in August. I have to say I am a lil excited too... She is a good lil helper with the babysitting kids, mostly the babies... She learned to ride her bike in December without the training wheels and was very proud of that. We are really enjoying having these 2 lil kids around with all these teenagers in the house... She loves to spend time with Shelby and she very much thinks she is way older than 5....
