My heart has been so full all day, I would be very ungreatful if I did not say how greatful I am for my kids. Today was a really hard day at work. I found out that a member at the gym had there 12 1/2 month old son die on Christmas Day. He had an ear infection and it had spread to his heart. No one should have to go thru that and never on Christmas morning. He was the youngest of 3 kids. My heart has been breaking all day for what they are going thru. I was so happy to get home and hug all of my babies. Cory being the good husband had us all packed when I got home and we left for Thatcher Az were my parents live. I just needed to get away. I know that they will find peace in the church and knowing that they are an eternal family, but I just cant begin to think about how you get thru this...

Christmas Day 2007

Well the day has been busy and long. But what a fun day we have had. The kids slept in until 7:45 which was a nice surprise. We had a great day and my end to the day is posting Karlys stocking as DONE!... Here are a few of our best moments of the day.

I'm finished...

Well here it is 5 minutes before midnight, on December 22nd. I just finished Karlys stocking. Well I cant really say finished because now I have to cut and sew it into a stocking. But the hardest part is over...I love to see them come to live, even if they are alot of time I do think of them as treasures.

What an amazing husband I have...

I am proud to show off Corys handy skills. I was going to be making a new sign to hold my Christmas stockings. Cory had gone to get me a piece of wood and when I got home from work this was what I found. He wanted to make something special to hold the stockings that I have spend 100s of hours working on. Karly was quick to take a pencil to it, but with a little clean up and a story to laugh at for a really long time. I am so proud to have this hanging in my house... And yes Karly will soon have her stocking hanging there too.

Treat for the day!

Can I just say that I had the most wonderful massage today. I treated myself to a 1 hour massage and it was amazing. I would highly suggest it to any over stressed mom, or Dad. Money well spent.

Chase & Karly

I love to watch these 2 together. He is so good at taking care of her. The other night when she decided that she needed to brush her teeth too, we soon found him wetting and combing her hair. I think that there was a cup of water involved. She was really wet! But he is such a good brother to her. I think she knew that he needed a buddy to grow up with. Cory calls them his "SALT & PEPPER" They are great friends...

Well in the crazy life of the Smith family you would think we would have something to blog about. Sorry to say our life is kinda boring. I didnt say we were not busy just boring. Shelbys highlight for the week was a scare she had on Monday morning. As she was getting ready for school she like most girls decided to change her clothes. So when she took off her shoes she saw something dark on the bottom of her sock. As she went to look into her shoe she found a smashed Scorpion. She called me at work to tell me how she almost died! We think it come home in her shoes when she was visiting a friends new house. The shoe was not worn home, only carried... Well other than that our life was me working 39 hours, football practice, dance class and all the fun homework etc. Well here we go on another week...

Karly has a surgery date

Well we are scheduled for 6:15 Friday morning. We will be putting in new tubes that will stay in for 3 years and then be removed. So it will make for a long day but I will be glad when its done.

Bradys football face

Well Brady has just finished is 1st season of tackle football. He is having to learn that is is ok to get aggressive when he is at football. He is ready to play the next season too.

OH MY GOSH!!!

Well my shock for the day was seeing how much Chads recent hospital stay was. I just saw what insurance was billed and it was over $19000.00 I was shocked....Good thing we have good insurance and can make payments...

Update on Karly and her ears...

We went to Dr Mancuso today and we are scheduled on Friday the 16th to have new tubes put in that are ment to last 3 years or more and then they will be removed by the dr. Well lets hope that this works...

Sandys Update

Well with 1 week into my cleanse I am at 6 lbs weight lose. Sure I would love higher numbers but who can complian about 6 lbs in 1 week. Well I made it thru Cory being gone for the week.but I guess not so good, he is making me go to moms on thurday night for the weekend. I guess I need a break. I have an AMAZNG husband.....

Karly karly karly...

Well in the life of Karly , here we go again. We were back in the Dr office for the 2nd ear infection in 3 weeks so we are back to the plan of putting tubes in her ears for the 2nd time. For those who dont know we put tubes in on March 8th and they were both out by 6 weeks....

Smith Family update

Well we are all doing good. Always busy but that doesnt change much. Cory is out of town this week, so i'm flying solo. Thats kinda hard on me I'm so used to Cory constant help. I think there is something going on every night. My new exciting news is that i'm starting a 30 day isogenics body cleanse. Several of the people that I work with have had great success with it. So far i'm at 4 lbs on day 2...

Well Chad was so excited to be able to drive on our trip to and from Carlsbad NM. He drove from El Paso TX to Thatcher AZ. It was about 4 1/2 hours straight...

The Smith family is growing fast as ever. Chad now 16 and starting to drive, Shelby fast approching 14 and growing up way to fast. Brady is now almost 10 and trying out tackle football. Chase is now 4 and starting the world of pre-school (it helps that his teacher is his aunt) Karly is 19 months and trying to keep up with eveyone, and try to keep up talking too.
