The camera has been found

Well my camera has been MIA for about a week. But go figure that I found it hiding under a pile on the desk... So her is an update on the last week or so...Shelby was lucky enough to have a friend who gave her a FULL set of bedroom furniture...bedding included...
She was so ready something new. Thanks Hallie....

Follow up on Cory's projects, he spent all day Saturday working on the new garden area....We are starting with 2 4ft X 4ft sections...Wish us luck, we think this may be a good idea to learn to garden just in case California decides to not plant this year.

We are hoping to some day add 2 more sections...Maybe next year...

Well after a little drama over the weekend Chase was just not going to let Karly get the last word on here. So on Monday we schedules dentist appointments for Brady and Chase to get there teeth cleaned....That sounds easy RIGHT!!?? Well as the tried to get new XRAYS there was no way, poor thing has his Dad's gag reflexes...So those were stopped. Next was a cleaning, easy enough....NO he was soon loosing his lunch all over the place. So at that point we threw in the towel and he was done....Brady was able to still get his done, but Chase was done!!!

Wrap up of the weekend....

Well we started Friday night with belated birthday dinner with Brady to PF Chang's....YUM I love that place... So Saturday morning starts with a lot of yard work and projects. Cory says I was really cracking the whip that day. We were starting a sidewalk, moving 100 pavers out, moving the jacuzzi out, moving the swing to the jacuzzi spot and moving the trampoline to the swing spot. All of this so that we can use the trampoline spot to start a garden...So Cory and his Dad started on the sidewalk and me and the kids started moving out the pavers. I put the pavers and the jacuzzi on craigslist for free and my phone went nuts....In 10 minutes that I was on the phone with my sister I had 15 voicemail message on my phone. Soon we had to guys at the house to load there new projects and at the end of the day we had everything in it's new spot. So Cory then said we (me & him) were going out for my birthday... So we just went to Tia Rosa's for dinner and then to the book store to look for the garden books we wanted. After a short run into the grocery store we were home only to find out that Shelby had been calling Cory's phone (it was on silent) Karly had been throwing up all night....
So long story short she slept all night but I still kept her home from church, just to be safe. While everyone was at church she tells me about hitting her head on the ramp the night before. now its all making more sense...I later find out that she tried to ride her bike up Brady's ramp and wrecked, hitting her head on the driveway.... Well I think she probably had a small concussion...Never a boring weekend at the Smith house...

Happy Birthday Girls...

I have been lucky to be able to share my birthday with my sister Kellie. We were born 2 years to the day apart. We did not always enjoy having them on the same day as kids but it is nice to share them now.

In 1996 we were lucky to get our only sister in law on the Sullivan side but more than that Kellie & I got another birthday buddy....Happy birthday Kellie & Taniel.....

Oh were has the time gone...It just seems like yesterday that I started these fun frames when Chad started kindergarten. Now his circle is complete and its only needing his SR picture. As a kid our family had Friends who had a similar thing that hung in there hall and I always thought it was neat so I was quick to start it with my own kids. Some say the hall will be FULL with "5" frames....

Sandy's Sitting Service

Her is a copy of my most updated handout, I hope you will help me in passing on the word to any one you know sisters ,sister-in-laws, friend or anyone else who might need to take time for themselves...Work in childs class or lunch with a girlfriend. Please keep me in mind and spread the word....

Brady turns "11"

Holy Cow were has the time gone. Today is Brady's 11Th birthday. It just seems like last week Cory and I were headed to the hospital in Carlsbad NM on a cold January morning...

You can not help but love his smile...

He kinda went from being last baby of the family to being middle child. He has a hard time not being as big as the big kids but to old for the little kids. But he has a great attitude with it all.

He is learning to love sports, in the last 2 1/2 years he has played several seasons of football and has also done baseball. I think he is thinking he may like baseball better.

You give this kid anything with wheels and he will learn how to ride it...Even a 2 piece skateboard, if you figure that out your doing good.

Brady like coming from a big family, life is just funner with a group...

Enjoing Christmas toys...

Karly was lucky enough to get a kitchen for Christmas, and we are so happy she has someone to cook with. We have joked a few times that we had Karly "FOR" Chase. Well we know that that is not the only reason but we do know that he needed to have a buddy with him to survive our crazy life with teens.... I hope they will always be great friends..

My favorite Christmas things...

These are my two favorite things to put up,and my hardest to take down. I am very proud of my stocking, they took years to get them all done. I look forward to the mail in December because I get cards in the mail. I was kind of a Scrooge this year and did not get my done, but I love to get them from everyone else,

Christmas Week 2008

Well it was a very busy fun filled week in Thatcher. It was really nice to be close enough to my parents to go for Christmas. The last time we went for Christmas was 1995 and Chad was 4 and Shelby was 2. I think it was time
The kids we happy to be able to go out riding, even if it was COLD... We were able to have a few really nice days before we started getting rain.

Fun traditions of making sugar cookies for Santa. It is just funner at Grandmas house.

Santa was good to everyone, Brady got the X Glider its a 2 piece skateboard. Leave it to Brady to learn how to ride something new. Shelby even got her bike from Santa sorry no picture. Karly also got a bike from Santa but made it very clear it was supposed to be pink NOT purple. It was touch and go to see if she would keep it. It was very funny. Santa doesn't usually make a mistake like that...

Chad got the newest guitar hero for the wii.

Chase thought he needed Heely shoes this year, Santa was lucky to find his size. Now we just need to get him to use them with wheels...

Who doesn't need new PJ's on Christmas Eve.

The kids were so excited when it started snowing on Friday night. Just enough to say we had snow but it was gone by 11...

A HUGE thank you to my parents for putting up with our BIG family for a week. Christmas is just better at your parents house...
